The Extraordinary Women series is designed to help women help themselves and others. Women today are doing more than ever before in history. New issues confront them on a daily basis. How does a woman cope with the unique stress of motherhood, career, relationships, singleness, financial freedom, etc? This series will help women have a better understanding of how to handle the pressures and complexities of life and offer them help and encouragement during these times.

Thelma Wells
Thelma overcame childhood abuse and poverty to become the happy, successful woman she is today. The first black woman to become an Assistant Vice President of a commercial bank, Thelma went on to organize an international speaking and consulting company, earn a master’s degree and become a college professor. In 2008, Thelma was awarded an honorary doctorate.
